Formed in November 2018 by friends from Saint Louis University Laboratory High School in Baguio, Filipino pop-rock band Cup of Joe began as a casual act performing covers at local events. The groupâcomprising vocalists Gian Bernardino and Raphaell Ridao, guitarists Gabriel and CJ Fernandez, keyboardist Xen Gareza, and until 2024, bassist Raphael Severinoâsoon gained attention with their original music. Their 2019 breakout single âNag-iisang Muliâ earned them MOR Awards recognition, followed by hits like âAlas Doseâ and âIkaw Pa Rin Ang Pipiliin Ko.â In 2022, they solidified their following with âMananatiliâ and âEstranghero.â The bandâs rise peaked in 2023 with the EP Patutunguhan, which featured the Billboard-charting track âTinginâ featuring Janine Teñoso. In 2024, Cup of Joe headlined their first solo concert, participated in major events like the Aurora Music Festival, and released a viral video for âMisteryoso.â They followed up with their first studio album Silakbo in January 2025, which included the single âMultoââa track that later entered the Billboard Global 200.
