Biography
Nicky Romero is a Dutch DJ who has ranked at number 50 on DJ Mag's annual Top 100 DJs around the world. He started releasing remixes in 2007 and had a stint at the Ministry of Sound. He remixed tracks by Groove Armada, David Guetta, Alex Gaudino, Erick Morillo and Eddie Thoneick and Ben Liebrand. His 2012 track 'Toulouse' raised his profile and he joined David Guetta in a residency on the island of Ibiza that year. 'I Could Be the One' with Swedish DJ Avicii topped the UK Official Singles Chart in 2013 and went to number ten on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart while eight other singles made it into the US charts. He collaborated with American singer-songwriter Rozes on the 2018 single 'Where Would We Be', he has a record label called Protocol Recordings and he hosts a weekly Internet show called Protocol Radio.
