Biography
Ng Kiâpin, born 10 September 1990 in Taipei, is a Taiwanese singer, keyboardist, and composer. He studied piano and erhu before coâfounding the Hokkien indie rock band EggPlantEgg in 2012. The groupâs 2013 EP ç¶åä½é led to a 2017 album Cartoon Character, which won Best Taiwanese Album and Best New Artist at the Golden Melody Awards. Subsequent releases, including We Are Gonna Get Married (2020) and the single "浪æµé£", earned further Golden Melody nominations; "ææ
ä½ æ¯ææ³çé£è¼å大" won Song of the Year in 2023. EggPlantEgg entered indefinite hiatus in September 2022 after Ngâs vocal cord injury. Ng returned to the stage in April 2023, performed at the 34th Golden Melody Awards, and launched his solo career in July 2025 with the single "è¥ç¡ä½ æ欲å»ä½ä½" after signing with Universal Music Taiwan.
