New Constellations, an American rock and dream pop duo from Portland, Oregon, was formed in 2017 by childhood friends Harlee Case and Josh Smith, who met as teenagers in church and began collaborating again in 2015 after a social media call for partners. Their first single, "Hot Blooded", released on January 1, 2021, quickly gained traction, accumulating over 50â¯million streams by summer 2025 and prompting a music video that surpassed 10â¯million YouTube views. In 2023 they issued the EP Lean In, and by November 2024 touring member Kyle Farook joined for West Coast shows. Their debut full-length album, It Comes in Waves, was released on Mayâ¯15, 2026, marking nine years of active collaboration.
