Néophyte, a Dutch mainstream hardcore producer and DJ, was formed in 1992 as a group in Rotterdam, initially consisting of Jeroen Streunding, Danny Greten, and Jarno Butter. Their first production was the album, The Three Amiga's E.P., released in 1993 under Rotterdam Records. In 1996, "Always Hardcore", a Bodylotion's single that became an anthem for the gabber scene. The group collaborated with notable artists like DJ Panic and The Stunned Guys, resulting in hits such as "Hardcore to da Bone" and "Braincracking". In 1999, Jeroen Streunding founded Neophyte Records to support young talents during a period of crisis in the gabber scene. Notable releases include At War (2001) and Rechtoe Rechtaan (2006). In 2005, their compilation 13 Jaar Terreur reached the number 29 position in the Dutch charts. Streunding continued to produce under the Neophyte name into the 2010s and participated in events like Born to Rave in 2023.
