Liam Finn is the son of the world famous singer-songwriter Neil Finn, frontman and driving force behind Crowded House, New Zealand's most successful musical export. Liam is also an accomplished musician and songwriter who is highly respected in his own right having toured and performed with artists such as Wilco, Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder.
The father and son team began collaborating when they worked together on the soundtrack of the movie 'I Am Sam' in 2001 recording The Beatles track 'Two of Us', and Liam has also been a touring member of Crowded House during some of their comeback concerts and appearances.
In 2018 their professional relationship was formalised with the release of the album 'Lightsleeper'. The album is a collection of eleven tracks co-written by the duo with the exception of the opening track 'Prelude- Island of Peach' which was a solo effort by Neil. The album features five members of the extended Finn family performing various musical duties and notable collaborators include Mick Fleetwood and Connan Mockasin.
