Biography

Dutch Eurodance project, T-Spoon, was founded in 1991 by rapper Shalamon Baskin, also known as Shamrock, and co-founder Remy de Groot, known as Prince Peration. The group secured a recording contract with No More Music and released their debut single "No Time 2 Waste" in 1993, which reached the top 10 in Europe. Throughout the following years, T-Spoon achieved significant success with hits such as "A Part of My Life", "Where R U Now", "Take Me 2 the Limit", and "Sex on the Beach". The latter became one of their biggest hits, peaking at number 3 in Ireland and number 2 in the UK. The group released several records, including Joy, Life & Pain (1994), the single "Tom's Party" (1998), and The Hit Collection (1997). T-Spoon featured various vocalists over the years, including Jean Shy and Linda Estelle. In 1996, singer Linda Estelle joined the group, shifting their musical direction towards happy hardcore. The band's lineup evolved with Shamrock leaving in 1998 and being replaced by Greg Dillard, who later left in 2000. In 2008, Shamrock and Linda Estelle reunited for the T-Spoon Reloaded Show, performing at various events including Ekonomika Rewind Leuven. The group continued to release new music and remixes, collaborating with artists like Akon on "Dubhop Shawty" (2012) and covering Gerard Joling's "Ticket to the Tropics" in 2013.
