Nathan Fake, born on March 1, 1983, in King's Lynn, Norfolk, England, is an electronic music producer. He began his career in 2003 with the release of the Outhouse EP on James Holden's label Border Community. His breakthrough came with the The Sky Was Pink EP, which gained popularity due to Holden's remix of the title track "The Sky Was Pink". In 2006, Fake released his debut album Drowning in a Sea of Love, which received critical acclaim and was compared to Boards of Canada by The Guardian. Over the next few years, he released several notable EPs and albums, including Hard Islands (2009) and Steam Days (2012). In 2014, he founded the label Cambria Instruments with Wesley Matsell. After signing to Ninja Tune in 2016, he released the album Providence, followed by Blizzards (2020) and Crystal Vision (2023), released through Cambria Instruments. In 2026, his seventh album Evaporator was issued by Infiné. Nathan Fake has also produced remixes for artists such as Radiohead.
