Biography

Natalia Jiménez is a Spanish singer-songwriter who jumped to fame in the early aughts as the lead vocalist of the pop-rock band La Quinta Estación. Born on December 29, 1981, in Madrid, she began her musical journey by busking on the streets at the age of 15. In 2000, she joined La Quinta Estación and achieved mainstream success throughout the Spanish-speaking world with albums like Flores de Alquiler (2004), El Mundo Se Equivoca (2006), and Sin Frenos (2009). After relocating to Miami, she made her solo debut in 2011 with an eponymous album that earned her a Lo Nuestro award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year. Released in 2015, her sophomore effort Creo en Mí reached Number 2 on the Billboard Latin Albums chart and received a nomination for Album of the Year at the Latin Grammy Awards. In 2016, she paid homage to the late Mexican-American Jenni Rivera on the album Homenaje a la Gran Señora, which peaked at Number 2 on the Latin Pop Albums chart. Over the next few years, Natalia Jiménez continued her exploration of the Mexican songbook on the platinum-selling album México de Mi Corazón (2019), followed by a second installment titled México de Mi Corazón, Vol. 2 in 2021. The compilation Antología 20 Años was released in 2023, while her tribute to legendary Mexican songwriter José Alfredo Jiménez, the live LP De Jiménez a Jiménez, arrived in 2024.
