Biography

Born on June 15, 2000 in Taipei, Taiwan, Ouyang Nana is a musician and actress. The daughter of Taiwanese actors Ouyang Long and Fu Juan, she began playing guitar at the age of 4, piano at 5, and the cello at 6. In 2008, she began her studies in the music program at Dunhua Elementary School and graduated with top honors in 2012. During her studies, she was given the position of the principal cellist of the Century Youth Orchestra. After winning awards at the Grand Taiwan National Music Competition in 2011, she performed at the National Cello Institute Summer Festival (U.S.) and 2011 Salut Summer Festival (Taitung, Taiwan). Nana became the youngest cellist – at the age of 12 - to give a solo recital at the Concert Hall of Taiwan. She won several awards and competitions before continuing her studies at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After leaving school in 2015, she signed a recording contract and released her first classical album, 15. She also began her acting career, playing a cellist in the film Beijing Love Story. Her 2016 single “Warming Your Winter” was recorded for her television show Yes! Mr. Fashion. Her second album, Cello Loves Disney, was released in 2017. Her acting career became filled with roles for television and film, including the science fiction movie Bleeding Steel with Jackie Chan. In 2020, she released the EPs NANA 1 (in June) and NANA II (in November).
