Biography

Najwajean, a Spanish trip-hop group formed in Madrid in 1996, consisted of Najwa Nimri and Carlos Jean. The duo initially gained recognition with their debut album, No Blood, in 1998, which featured singles such as "Mind Your Head" and "Take a Break". In 2002, they released the album Selection and contributed to the soundtrack for the film Guerreros, including the single "Human Monkeys", which was nominated for a Goya Award for Best Song. Their compilation album included 10 Years After (2007), featuring the hit single "Dead for You" used as the theme song for the Spanish television show Versión Española, and the album Till It Breaks, released in 2008. Najwajean's album, Bonzo, was released in 2015. The band performed at notable venues such as La Casa Encendida and Teatro Price in Madrid during that year.
