Music Instructor, a German electro-dance music project, was formed in 1995 and gained prominence during the late 1990s and early 2000s. The group consisted of musicians Mike Michaels, Mark "MM" Dollar, and Mark Tabak (collectively known as The Triple-M Crew), along with singer Holly Trance (Holger Trens). Their breakthrough came in 1995 with the release of "Hymn", a cover of Ultravox's 1982 hit, which explained various elements of dance music. This was followed by singles such as "Hands In The Air" and "Dance", all featured on their 1995 debut album The World of Music Instructor. The group also contributed to the Queen Dance Tracks Vol. 1 tribute album with a cover of "Friends Will Be Friends". Their second album, Electric City (1998), included collaborations with singer Maya Saban and notable covers like "Let the Music Play" and "Jam on It". The album was reissued later that year as Electric City of Music Instructor, featuring remixes and new tracks. Notable singles from this period include "Super Sonic", "Rock Your Body", and "Get Freaky", which featured appearances by the Flying Steps breakdance group and characters from the Oddworld video games. The group's final release, the single "Play My Music", was released in 2001 and disbanded shortly after.
