Mourning Noise is an American horror punk and hardcore punk band from Lodi, New Jersey, formed in 1981 with Steve Zing on drums, who lived near Jerry Only and Doyle of the Misfits. Their music was characterized by fast tempos and melodic structures. Mourning Noise released their first single "Dawn of the Dead" in 1983. In 1986, Steve Zing released a solo single "Runaway", recorded with other members of Mourning Noise. The band's first full-length compilation album, Death Trip Delivery - 1981-1985, was released in 1998 by Grand Theft Audio. Mourning Noise disbanded in 1984 but reunited in 2021 with a lineup including Robby Bloodshed on vocals and guitar, Chris Morance on bass, Tommy Koprowski on guitar, and Steve Zing on drums. In 2022, the band released a new EP titled ...At the Seville, followed by the full-length album Screams/Dreams (2024).
