Biography

Morning Teleportation was an American psychedelic rock band formed in Bowling Green, Kentucky, in 2005 by Travis Goodwin (keyboards), Tres Coker (drums), and Paul Wilkerson (bass). The lineup was completed when Tiger Merritt joined as vocalist and guitarist after relocating to Bowling Green to attend college. The band signed with Glacial Pace Recordings in 2009 and released its debut album, Expanding Anyway, in March 2011. Produced by Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse, the album helped establish the group's reputation, while appearances at major festivals, including Bonnaroo and Electric Forest, further expanded its audience. Morning Teleportation released its second studio album, Salivating for Symbiosis, in 2017 and toured with artists such as The Flaming Lips, Cage the Elephant, Primus, and Modest Mouse. On April 4, 2019, the band announced the death of frontman Tiger Merritt.
