Biography
Mone Kamishiraishi is a Japanese singer and actress with many credits in films, television shows, stage and anime productions since 2011. She launched her recording career in 2014 with the single 'Maiko wa Lady', the theme song from the musical comedy feature film 'Lady Maiko' in which she starred. Her 2016 debut album 'Chouchou' features the single 'Nandemo Naiya', from the animated feature 'Your Name', which peaked at number nine on Billboard's Japan Hot 100.
Other tracks include 'On My Own' from 'Les Miserables' and 'Smile' from 'Modern Times'. She appears in the 2019 movies 'L DK 2' and 'Startup Girls' and the anime film 'Weathering With You' (2019), and she has dubbed the role of Alita played by Rosa Salazar in the Japanese release of the 2019 Robert Rodriguez live-action film 'Alita: Battle Angel'. Since 2017, she has had an ongoing national radio programme titled 'Good Night Letter'.
