Biography

Mitch Tambo is an Australian singer, songwriter, actor, and presenter. He was born in Sydney, Australia, and moved to Tamworth at only 18 months old. He started his career by hosting the children’s TV show Muso Magic Outback Tracks in 2013. Three years later, Mitch Tambo released his debut EP independently, titled Guurrama-Li. In 2019, he was part of the TV show Australia’s Got Talent, making it all the way to the final. This brought him much more exposure, and his EP started to get more attention. In November of 2019, Mitch Tambo announced that he had signed to Sony Music Australia. Through the label, he released the single “You’re the Voice,” a cover of a song by Australian singer John Farnham. Mitch Tambo’s version gives the song a more contemporary pop feel. It is also bilingual, sung in both English and Gamilaraay. He also performed the song in the semi-final of Australia's Got Talent. In 2020, Chris Tambo released the singles “Together,” “Love,” and his cover of Vanessa Amorosi’s song “Absolutely Everybody” for Deadly Hearts: Walking Together, a compilation celebrating Australian Indigenous music. 2021 saw the release of his single “Dreamtime Princess.”
