Biography

In the US recording industry, Mitch Miller has distinguished himself on many different levels. First, as a musician, at the start of his career, he collaborated on an occasional basis with the great Charlie Parker. Then, as a producer, he contributed to the early successes of Frankie Laine and Jo Stafford. At the same time, he led big band projects, which also met with great success, thanks to his popular repertoire and his ability to get the audience to sing along to his musical statements. A fervent advocate of popular music, whether jazz or rock and roll, he took advantage of a TV show he hosted in the 60s to spread his taste for the unconventional, even the shocking. As long as the audience is interested, Mitch Miller is satisfied.
