Biography

Mae, an American rock band from Norfolk, Virginia, formed in 2001. The group's name is an acronym for "Multisensory Aesthetic Experience", inspired by a course taken by drummer Jacob Marshall while a student at Old Dominion University. Mae began their musical journey when Jacob Marshall and Dave Elkins wrote their first song together. They released their second full-length album, The Everglow, in 2005. Mae then signed to Capitol Records for their third full-length album, Singularity, released in 2007. Notable singles include “Sometimes I Can't Make It Alone”. In 2018, Mae returned to Tooth & Nail Records and released the album Multisensory Aesthetic Experience.
