Born Gurinderâ¯Kaurâ¯Kainth onâ¯4â¯Decemberâ¯1980 in Rajpura, Punjab, Missâ¯Pooja is an Indian singer and actress who performs Punjabi pop, bhangra, and folk. She earned a B.A. in vocal and instrumental skills from Punjabi University and an M.A. in music from PGGCG Chandigarh before launching her career with the 2006 duet "Jaanâ¯Tonâ¯Piyari" with Darshan Khela. Subsequent releases included Hobby (2008), Romanticâ¯Jatt (2009) featuring the video "Doâ¯Nain", Gabru (2020), and Hulchal (2021). Her film debut came in 2010 with Panjaban and Channaâ¯Sachiâ¯Muchi, followed by Poojaâ¯Kivenâ¯Aa (2013). Missâ¯Pooja received UK Asian Music Awards Best International Act (2009, 2011), Best International Album for Romanticâ¯Jatt (2010), and a Guinness World Record for most songs sung in 2021, plus the Hindustanâ¯Gaurav Award (2021). In 2026, she released the single "Canadian Dream" with Chani Nattan, Inderpal Moga and Dr Zeus, which reached number 20 on the British Asian chart.
