Born in Montreal, Canada on December 21, 1990, Deep Jandu is a Bhangra / hip hop producer, rapper, and singer. Closely associated with the Punjabi music genre, he has been referred to as âthe Indian Dr. Dre.â In 2011, Deep Jandu released his debut album, Shera Naal Yaari, which was followed by his sophomore album, In 2 Deep, in 2013. Neither album was a success, so he refocused his career on music production. By 2016, his work as a producer began to gain attention after releases by Amrit Mann, Elly Mangat, Sukhe, Garry Sandhu & Roach Killa, Jazzy B, Jass Bajwa, and Arsh Benipal. In 2017, Deep Jandu returned to recording solo material and issued a series of successful singles including âAs Gya Ni Ohi Billo Time,â âVaajâ (featuring Kanwar Grewal), and âGood Lifeâ (featuring Bohemia). After working on the soundtrack to the 2018 film Aate Di Chidi, he issued a series of hits including 2019âs âSnakeâ (featuring Karan Aujla), âPagolâ (featuring Bohemia), and âBombay To Punjabâ (featuring Divine). Deep Jandu issued his third album, Down To Earth (2019), which featured guest appearances from many of the artists that heâd been working with over the years including Miss Pooja, Sultaan, Gangis Khan, and others. His success continued with the release of singles such as 2020âs âCome & Goâ (with J. Hind), 2021âs âFashion Di Definitionâ (with Shortie), and 2022âs âPain.â
