Biography

Miss $ is a South Korean hip hop group formed in 2008 by Brand New Stardom, a former joint venture between Stardom Entertainment and Brand New Music. The duo currently consists of Jace and Kang Min‑hee, with former members Oh Yu‑mi and Tae Hye‑young contributing to early releases. Their debut single, "Don’t Cheat", launched on 18 November 2008, establishing their presence in the Korean music scene. In 2009, the group released their debut studio album S Class on 26 August, followed by Miss Independent on 10 September 2010 and the EP Pro. Miss. U on 22 October 2010. Subsequent albums Miss_Terious on 22 November 2011 and Lo$t & Found on 19 July 2013 expanded their discography, while EPs Miss Us? on 25 October 2012 and Miss_Terious continued to showcase their evolving sound. Notable singles include "Stop Smoking" on 26 September 2012, "Can I Just live" on 17 December 2013, and "Don’t Speak Without Soul" on 10 March 2016. In 2021, the group released Older & None The Wiser featuring Jung Seul‑Gi and KANTO. The track "Would I do this if it weren't that bad (feat. Jung Seul Gi, Lim Da Hea)" on the album Miss_Terious (2011) entered Melon's Top 100 Singles MelOn chart at rank 87 in January 2012.
