Biography
Michael Bräuninger, known professionally as âMisanthropâ, is a German drum and bass and neurofunk producer and disc jockey born in Hamburg. He began his musical career in the early 2000s with the release of the singles âEisâ and âHölleâ. In 2006, he issued his debut EP, No Quantise, through Subtitles Music. Bräuninger achieved wider recognition through his frequent collaborations with Phace, with whom he founded the label Neosignal Recordings in 2008. The pair formed the electro duo Neosignal in 2011 and released the joint studio album Raum und Zeit in 2013. This partnership also produced the single âAmboss / No!â and the album Buried Alive. The duo made their live debut at the Fabric club in London in March 2013. Beyond his recording career, Bräuninger works as a film editor under his legal name, contributing to productions such as the 2004 film Nussknacker und Mausekönig and the 2008 project Teenage Angst.
