Biography
MiliÄ VukaÅ¡inoviÄ, born on March 9, 1950, in Belgrade, is a Serbian musician. He began playing drums at age twelve, founded his first band, Plavi Dijamanti, at the age of 13, and started playing with the band ÄiÄak. In 1970, VukaÅ¡inoviÄ became the drummer for Indexi, and in 1976, he joined Bijelo Dugme temporarily, recording Eto! BaÅ¡ hoÄu! with them. He formed Vatreni Poljubac in 1977, achieving nationwide popularity, earning the nickname Doktor za rokenrol. The band recorded six studio albums and two solo albums before disbanding in 1985. VukaÅ¡inoviÄ's solo career includes notable albums such as Potraži Me (1984) and Hej Jaro, Jarane (1988). He has also collaborated with popular Yugoslav folk singers like Hanka Paldum and Toma ZdravkoviÄ. In 1997, VukaÅ¡inoviÄ moved to Belgrade and reformed Vatreni Poljubac, continuing to release albums with various lineups.
