Biography

Born in Brooklyn, New York, on March 3, 2005, Miles Caton grew up in a musical family environment where everyone was used to singing. In 2017, his video covering the classic "Feeling Good" went viral and was sampled by Jay-Z in his cut of the track "4:44". Appearing on Little Big Shots in 2018, Caton was invited to sing on The View and in 2022 took part in H.E.R.'s tour as a backing singer, before releasing his first single "This Ain't It" (2023). Encouraged to audition for Ryan Coogler's Sinners, he is hired and learns to play guitar in two months to perform the blues tracks in this story set in 1930s Mississippi, where he plays the role of preacher Sammie Moore and sings the tracks "I Lied to You", "This Little Light of Mine", "Travelin'" and "Last Time", with music by Ludwig Göransson.
