Mike Dillon, born Michael Dillon in San Antonio, Texas, is an American percussionist and vibraphonist. His musical journey began with a love for Rush as a teenager, leading him to perform locally with bands like Ten Hands in the 1980s. In the 1990s, he led Dallas-based Billy Goat before moving on to projects such as Malachy Papers and Hairy Apes BMX. Dillon's career took off with the formation of Mike Dillon's Go-Go Jungle in 2006, releasing their debut album Battery Milk in 2007. He has collaborated extensively with various artists including Ani DiFranco, Galactic, and Les Claypool's Fancy Band. Notable releases include Rosewood (2020) and Suitcase Man (2021). Dillon continues to tour and record, contributing significantly to the music scene through his diverse collaborations and solo projects.
