Biography
Mighty Baby was a British rock band formed in January 1969 by former members of The Action. The group consisted of Alan 'Bam' King on vocals and guitar, Martin Stone on guitar, Ian Whiteman on piano and flute, Mike 'Ace' Evans on bass, and Roger Powell on drums. After signing with Head Records, they released their debut album Mighty Baby in November 1969. The band's second album, A Jug of Love, was released in October 1971. The band disbanded at the end of 1971 due to irreconcilable differences between their Muslim faith and rock band demands. Later releases include Live in the Attic (2000) and At a Point Between Fate & Destiny: The Complete Recordings (2019).
