Petra Mikolajczak, known professionally as Miko, is a German singer, actress, and composer born in 1958 or 1959 in Bochum, Germany. She began her career gaining recognition as a member of the band Neonbabies in the early 1980s. She was also part of the band 1. Futurologischer Congress in 1981. She released her debut album The Voice and the beat in 1984. She released other albums throughout the decade, including Visionen von Schönheit (1986) and Worlds of Love (1989), the latter of which was a collaboration with Niko Lido and Stephen Keusch. She also released the EP One Tongue with Joe Mubare in 1986.
