Michelle Lee, born Michelle Lee on 9 September 1991 in the Republic of Korea, is a contemporary R&B singer who emerged from a diverse cultural background. After auditioning for Kâpop Star in 2011, she was signed by YG Entertainment and joined the trainee group SuPearls, which disbanded before debut, leading her to join DIMA Entertainment in 2013. Her solo career launched with the single âWithout Youâ in March 2014, a track that addressed personal experiences of discrimination. In August 2015, she released her debut EP I Can Sing, showcasing her songwriting and vocal range.
