Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on January 6, 1997, American rapper Melly Mike made a name for himself on social networks in 2024 with his two hit tracks "Young Black & Rich" and "Ballon d'Or", which were also released in remixed versions "slowed" and "sped up". These two tracks quickly made their way around the world via recognition sites, and were among the most sought-after in North and South America, as well as in Europe and Asia. In 2025, Melly Mike took the opportunity to include them on the Selfish Nightmare EP, followed by Selfish Nightmare 2, featuring a new version of "Ballon d'Or" alongside five new tracks.
