Biography
Mavi Sakal, a Turkish rock band formed in 1980 by Murat Tümer, Kaan Altan, and Tibet AÄırtan while students at Tarsus American College. Initially known as ECHO'83, they changed their name to Mavi Sakal in 1984. Their debut album, Ãektir Git, was released in 1992, followed by Mavi Sakal 2 in 1993. The band gained significant attention with songs like "Ãektir Git" and "ÅaÅkın", leading to the release of their second album in CD format, the first rock album in this format by a Turkish band. In 1997, they performed before Status Quo at Wembley Arena in London. After an eight-year hiatus, they released Naklen in 2015.
