In 2021, he released his first solo single, "Solo". Notable collaborations include duets with Sebastián Yatra on 2022's "Until She's Gone / Tu Luz Quedó" and "Un Attimo di Tè", as well as appearances on the soundtrack of Three Thousand Years of Longing. His debut album, Matteo, was released in 2023. In February 2024, he participated in the 63rd edition of the Festival Internacional de la Canción de Viña del Mar in Chile with his father, marking his first performance in Latin America. In 2025, he unveiled his second studio album Falling in Love, recorded in his family home in Tuscany and built around intimate, romantic compositions such as “To Get to Love You” and “Amnesia d’Amore,” co-written with collaborators including Amy Wadge, marking a confident evolution of his voice as a singer-songwriter beyond the legacy of his surname. The album also included featured a cover of "Mi Historia Entre Tus Dedos" with original singer-songwriter Gianluca Grignani, which peaked at number 25 on the Billboard Latin Pop Airplay chart.
