Biography
Matthew Albert Costa, born on June 16, 1982 in Huntington Beach, California, is an American singer-songwriter. In early 2003, Costa's homemade demo reached Tom Dumont of No Doubt, leading to the release of two EPs: Matt Costa EP (2003) and The Elasmosaurus EP (2005). These were later combined into Costa's first full-length album, Songs We Sing, released in 2005. His debut single "Cold December" was released in 2006. Costa's second album, Unfamiliar Faces, was released in 2008 via Brushfire Records, featuring the single "Mr. Pitiful", which appeared in several films and advertisements. In 2010, he released his third album, Mobile Chateau. His fourth self-titled album followed in 2013. In 2018, he released Santa Rosa Fangs.
