Biography

Markus Gardeweg (born 10 January 1969 in Hamburg, Germany) is a German house DJ, musician, and A&R representative for Kontor Records. After emerging from the Hamburg-Steilshoop scene, Gardeweg secured a residency at the Kontor Club until its closure, establishing his presence in the local club circuit. In 2002, he released the single “All I Want”, which marked his entry into broader European markets and strengthened his profile as a club-focused producer. His early releases included the single “Fairplay (Let There Be Love)” featuring Michael Feiner, issued in 2008, showcasing his blend of melodic house and club-ready production. Gardeweg’s work appeared extensively within Kontor’s catalogue and received airplay across German radio stations, contributing to the label’s visibility as a major house music platform. His continued collaborations and chart-relevant tracks have positioned him as a consistent figure within the contemporary house music landscape.
