Biography

Marie-Hélène Dauphin, known professionally as Marie Dauphin, was born on April 20, 1964, in France. She is a singer and actress who initially pursued a career as an acrobat at the Fratellini circus school before transitioning to music following an injury. Dauphin's breakthrough came in 1983 when she was recruited by Jacqueline Joubert to join the team of animators for the children's television program Récré A2. She quickly gained recognition for her work on various TV show themes, including "Bibifoc", which remained in the Top 50 for nine months and sold 800,000 copies. This success was followed by other notable themes such as "Lady Oscar" and "Clémentine". In 1987, she presented the final episode of Disney Dimanche and took over the mercredis of Récré A2 with Charlotte Kady until June 1988. Dauphin continued to diversify her career, participating in musicals like Les Années twist in 1996 and providing voice-overs for TV shows such as Merci professeur! on TV5 Monde. In 2010, Marie Dauphin released her album Souvenirs savons. Throughout her career, she has also acted in various television series and films, including roles in Insoupçonnable, Profilage, and Affaires étrangères. Her theatrical work includes performances in shows like Les nuits d'une demoiselle and Marie Dauphin se fait la belle.
