Margo Rey, born Margarita Reymundo-Jurado on October 18, 1966, in Acapulco, Mexico, is a Mexican singer-songwriter. She grew up in Arlington, Dallas, and Fort Worth, Texas, where she began performing at age 11. Margo Rey's early career included being the lead vocalist in Debutante, an all-female rock band that toured the U.S. and overseas. In 1998, actor Edward James Olmos recommended her for a principal role in the musical Selena Forever, launching her career in musical theatre in New York. Margo Rey released notable singles such as "Let the Rain" featuring John Oates, which peaked at number 17 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart in 2011. She performed at B.B. King’s Blues Club and was a guest singer on Dave Koz’s Christmas Tour in 2012. Margo Rey is also known for her voiceover work in TV commercials and national advertising in both English and Spanish.
