Biography
Marcus Singletary, born in Chicago, Illinois, is an American musician who plays multiple instruments. He studied jazz guitar and audio engineering at Musicians Institute and graduated from Northwestern Universityâs School of Communication. His early career included the release of the albums The Marcus Singletary Band (2004) and Capitol Hill (2004). He formed the independent record label Aviation Records in 2006. In 2015, he released Defiance Science, which showcased his talents on all instruments. He also released Subversive Blues in 2016. Other notable releases include the EP Sings Country Music Standards (2012) and the live album Marcus Singletary Live (2015).
