Biography

Marc Hollander, born on March 24, 1950, in Belgium, is a musician and producer. He released Onze danses pour combattre la migraine in 1977 under the name Aksak Maboul alongside Vincent Kenis. In 1980, he founded Crammed Discs, launching international artists like Bebel Gilberto and Zap Mama. Aksak Maboul evolved into a full band, releasing Un peu de l'âme des bandits in 1979. Hollander collaborated with Art Bears and contributed to Fred Frith's album Gravity. In the 1980s, he balanced roles as musician, producer, and label head, notably with The Honeymoon Killers' international success. Later albums include Figures (2020) and Une aventure de VV (Songspiel) (2023).
