Biography
Italian trap artist Sara Mattei, aka Mara Sattei, was born in Rome in 1995. The younger sister of Italian rapper and producer Tha Supreme, she grew up in a music-loving household and was always encouraged to pursue her artistic passions from a very young age. After uploading a series of covers to her video-streaming channel, she found herself in the spotlight after participating in the talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi, which she left early in 2014. That year, she also released her debut EP Frammenti: Acoustic Covers n.1. In 2019, she began performing under the stage name Mara Sattei and released the singles âNuova Registrazione 326â and âNuova Registrazione 402,â both produced by her older brother. Following the release of the single âNuova Registrazione 527â in 2020, Mara Sattei and Tha Supreme joined forces once again on âDilemme,â a remix of a Lous and the Yakuza track that reached Number 3 on the Italian Singles Chart. Preceded by the single âParentesi,â which went to Number 56 in Italy, her studio debut Universo arrived in 2022 and entered the domestic Top 10 at Number 7. Several singles followed in 2023, including "Duemilaminuti" (Number 10), "Piango in discoteca" (Number 94), and "Mare aperto" (Number 89), before "Tempo (All the Things She Said)", containing a sample of the famous t.A.t.u. hit in 2024. Later in the year, she makes a team with her brother Thasup on the gospel-pop album Casa Gospel, ranked Number two in the Italian charts.
