Mansour Rahbani, born on March 17, 1925 in Antelias, Lebanon, was a composer, poet, musician, and producer. He and his brother Assi Rahbani began working in music and theater in the mid-20th century. Their early collaborations with the singer Fairuz (born Nouhad Haddad) produced numerous successful songs, becoming a prominent force in Lebanese music. In 1967, Mansour Rahbani co-wrote the film Safar Barlek with Assi Rahbani and Fairuz. After Assiâs death in 1986, Mansour continued his solo career, with notable works including the theatrical piece Summer 840. He passed away on 13 January 2009 in Beirut.
