Biography

Magtens Korridorer, a Danish rock band from Copenhagen, was formed in 1995 by students of the University of Copenhagen. The band took its name from the Danish title of Charles Percy Snow's novel Corridors of Power. In 1996, they released their first demo, which garnered national radio attention with the song "Hestevisen". A record deal followed in 2003 when Magtens Korridorer reunited with a nearly entirely new lineup. Their album Friværdi, released in 2005, included hits like "Lorteparforhold" and "Nordhavn Station". The band won the Talentwettbewerb KarriereKanonen award, and the album reached number 11 on the Danish charts and was certified platinum. In 2007, they released their third album Det krøllede håb, which peaked at number 2 on the Danish album charts and also received a platinum certification.
