Biography
Maggie Sansone was an American hammered dulcimer player and recording artist born in 1949 in Miami, Florida. She achieved professional recognition for her work on the hammered dulcimer and established the record label Maggie's Music,. Her recording career began with the cassette studio recording Hammer Dulcimer & Guitar (1984), followed by the studio recordings Sounds of the Season, Vol. 1 (1988) and Traditions (1989). She collaborated with artists including Bonnie Rideout, Al Petteway, and Ensemble Galilei. Her discography included the studio recordings Mist & Stone (1990) and A Traveler's Dream (1999). Sansone performed at the Maryland Renaissance Festival for more than 20 years. She died on 9 November 2025.
