Biography
Mach Pelican, a punk rock band of Japanese origin, was formed in Perth, Western Australia, in 1996 by three Japanese students studying English. The group relocated to Melbourne in 1998. The group released their debut album Mach Pelican in May 1999 and their first single "Born to Delivery" the same year. Other releases include the album Pulsate to the Back Beat (2002), the EP Radio (2006), and the album Radio Action (2006). Mach Pelican announced a farewell tour in July 2007 and played a final show in Tokyo on September 17, 2007. The group later reunited for occasional live shows, including dates in 2009, 2011, 2019, and 2024.
