Yosei Watanabe, known professionally as m1dy, is a Japanese producer and disc jockey. He began his career in the late 1990s under the pseudonym Kakuseiki the MIDI Anarchist, launching his musical journey with the label Hyper Rich in 1998. His breakthrough came with the release of the album TSSC (Tokyo Style SpeedCore) (2001) and subsequent EPs like Patriotism Volume 1 (2002) and albums such as Speedcore Dandy (2002). m1dy founded several notable labels, including PORK in 2004 and Maddest Chick'n Dom. Throughout his career, he collaborated with various local labels like Mob Squad Tokyo and SharpnelSound. Notable releases include Japanese Mathafacka (2005), Nin-Pi-Nin (2009), and Lecter in the Sky with Diamorphine (2010). His work was featured in video games like Beat Hazard Ultra (2012) and Beatmania IIDX 21: Spada (2013). Other notable albums include Voynich Tracks (2003) and Never Mind the m1dicks (2015).
