Lyube are a Russian rock band from Lyubertsy, Soviet Union, that formed in 1989. The ensemble was founded by the producer Igor Matviyenko and are famous for a musical style that blends Russian folk, rock, and chanson with Soviet military themes. The group includes the vocalist Nikolay Rastorguyev, who suggested the ensemble's name, alongside members including Aleksey Tarasov, Alexander Erokhin, and Sergey Pereguda. They achieved early professional recognition in 1991 with their debut studio recording Atas. Their discography includes the studio recordings Who Said That We Lived Badly...? (1992), Lyube Zone (1994), Combat (1996), and Russia (2005). The ensemble also released the single âDon't Play the Fool, America!â (1991) and the studio recording For You, Motherland! (2015). In 2001, the group performed a live concert on Victory Day in Red Square. Their Spotify profile was terminated in 2024.
