Voskresenie, a Russian rock band, was formed in 1979 when drummer Sergey Kavagoe left Mashina Vremeni. The initial lineup included Alexey Romanov as leader and songwriter, bassist Evgeny Margulis, and guitarist Alexey Makarevich. Voskresenie released their first albums, ÐоÑкÑеÑение 79â80 and ÐÑо виноваÑ, in 1979. In 1982, Romanov was arrested for private entrepreneurial activity, leading to a hiatus. The band reunited in 1989 and officially reformed in 1994. In 2001, they released ÐÑÑ ÑнаÑала, featuring re-recordings of old songs, followed by the new album Ðе ÑоÑопÑÑÑ in 2003.
