Luke Kennedy, born in 1982, in Ipswich, Queensland, Australia, is a singer who began his performance career at the age of 16. He initially gained recognition for his roles in local productions such as Jesus Christ Superstar, Les Misérables, and Chicago. In 2002, Kennedy moved to Brisbane to continue his theatrical work, taking on roles in various musicals including The Wiz and Beauty and the Beast. Kennedy's breakthrough moment came when he joined the international touring group The Ten Tenors in early 2008. He performed with them across nearly every continent, including notable events like the 2009 Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon and the 2008 Emirates Melbourne Cup. In April 2013, Kennedy auditioned for Season 2 of The Voice Australia, where he impressed all four coaches with his performance of "Un giorno per noi (A Time for Us)". Notable songs performed on the show include "Please Don't Ask Me", "Freedom 90", and "Overjoyed" and he ultimately placed second to Harrison Craig. Following his appearance on The Voice Australia, Kennedy signed a record contract with Universal Music Australia and released his debut album, A Time For Us, on July 12th, 2013, featuring the single "Stay for a Minute". The album debuted at number 6 on the ARIA Charts. Kennedy has also performed in various cabaret acts and musical productions, including Swing on This at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival in June 2014.
