Leslie William Morrison, known professionally as Lucky Starr, and born on December 29, 1940, in Sydney, is an Australian pioneer rock and roll, country, and pop singer and guitarist. He started his music career in 1957 as Les Starr with the Hepparays before he adopted the stage name Lucky Starr and signed with Festival Records in late 1959. In early 1962, Starr's cover of "I've Been Everywhere" peaked at Number 1 in Sydney. He released a compilation album of the same name in June 1962 and performed on television shows like Bandstand and Six O'Clock Rock. Starr toured extensively, including performances in the US, New Zealand, Philippines, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, Vietnam, and Italy. He was inducted into the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame in 1980.
