Biography
An American guitarist and composer based in Spain, Lucas de Mulder evolves in a jazz, soul and funk style. After playing in a number of bands on the Madrid scene, including Beat Bronco Organ Trio, he signed with the independent Denver label (Colorado, U.S.A.) to produce his first album as a leader with British band The New Mastersounds and guitarist Eddie Roberts, Feel the Spirit. Prior to its release in 2023, several tracks appeared over several years: "Ginger Beat", "Come Out at Night" and "Say Goodbye " in 2020, "Warm Nights" in 2021 and "Redbone" in 2023. Meanwhile, Lucas de Mulder collaborated with multi-instrumentalist Joe Sturges on the Cabin Bound EP and the track "Instead of Number Five" in 2022. He is also featured on Joe Tatton Trio's album Galáctico. In 2024, Feel the Spirit reaches No. 6 on Billboard's U.S. jazz chart. In 2025, three new singles are released: "Frontman", "Mafia" and "New Land", the title track of Lucas de Mulder's second solo album.
