Biography

Louis York is an American band formed in 2015 by Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony, drawing on their songwriting experience for artists such as Rihanna and Brunoâ¯Mars. The duo debuted with the single "Clairâ¯Huxtable" in 2015, followed by "Good Drinks, Dumb Jokes" in August, and released the EP Masterpiece Theater â Actâ¯I in September 2015. Subsequent EPs Masterpiece Theater â Actâ¯II (2016) and Masterpiece Theater â Actâ¯III (2017) expanded their catalog, culminating in the fullâlength album Americanâ¯Griots in 2019. In Aprilâ¯2025, they were named Jazz Category Winner of the 2024 American Songwriter Song Contest.
