Biography

Los Tetas is a Chilean band formed in 1994, consisting of Cristian Moraga ("C-Funk"), Camilo Castaldi ("Tea-Time"), David Eidelstein ("Rulo"), and Francisco González ("Pepino"). The group gained prominence with their debut album, Mama Funk, released in 1995, which showcased a unique fusion of funk, hip-hop, and soul. In 1996, the single "Corazón de sandía" received significant airplay, leading to a nomination for Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards. Their subsequent studio work, La medicina (1998), further solidified their popularity within the Latin alternative scene. Following a hiatus that began in 2004, the original lineup reunited in 2011 to perform and release new material, including the EP El movimiento (2012). The group remained active until 2017, when they entered an indefinite hiatus.
